SUMMER PROGRAM | June 22 – July 26, 2024

CALSOAP LA is excited to announce our college readiness program starting the week of June 22, 2024.

Our goal is to share resources with rising seniors in order to prepare them for the college application process. This program is open to rising seniors (class of 2025) interested in making their college application stand out! Students will complete the summer program by designing a personalized action plan tailored to their goals for senior year. Upon completion, students can add this program to their college application to highlight their knowledge about higher education. New topics, content, activities, and goals will be released each week. In addition, parents will also have an opportunity to learn how they can play a role in their child’s education. Students and their families will have the opportunity to meet with any of our CALSOAP LA staff members if they need additional help or information.

List of activities: 1) Your Story Matters: Sharing Your Journey 2) The importance of major & career 3) Understanding Higher Education: Exploring different systems 4) Show me the money! Financial Aid 5) Culmination and capstone project
