Submit a FAFSA/CADAA

Application starting October 1 – March 2

Join us for a financial aid workshop, learn how to create your FSA ID, receive help preparing your FAFSA or CADAA, and anything else financial aid related!

1. WILL YOU COMPLETE FAFSA OR CADAA

Use the FAFSA. Unless you are an undocumented, dream act-eligible student, then submit the CA Dream Act Application.

2. CREATE YOUR FSA ID

This is only for student who will be completing the FAFSA. Students completing the CA Dream Act Application please skip to step #3.

3. SUBMIT THE FAFSA OR CADAA

4. CHECK YOUR EMAIL

Make sure you use a professional email and that you check it regularly. Use the same email for college applications and Financial Aid. 

5. LOGIN TO WG4S

After your FAFSA or CADAA application is processed, you’ll receive an email letting you know it’s time to create your WebGrants4Students account.

The following are a couple of programs administered by the California Student Aid Commission. For a full list of financial aid programs visit www.csac.ca.gov

Cal Grant Programs

The Cal Grant is a California-specific financial aid allocation that does not need to be paid back. Cal Grant applicants must apply for the FAFSA or CADAA by the deadline and meet all eligibility, financial, and minimum GPA requirements of either program. Grants are for students attending University of California, California State University or California Community College, or qualifying independent and career colleges or technical schools in California.

Chafee Grant for Youth 

Free Money for Foster Youth for College or Career Training

The Chafee Grant program is available to any applicant who is or was in foster care between the ages of 16-18. Applicants may qualify for $5,000 a year for career and technical training.
