Frequently Asked Questions

The CALSOAP L.A. program is funded to provide direct student support at select high school sites; however (depending on staff availability and funding) we can assist during Financial Aid workshops, College Application Workshops, and Cash 4 College events. Throughout the year we also host activities that are open to all students and families. Please refer to our calendar for a list of activities and services open to the community.

We suggest that you consider doing the following:

  • Speak to your school counselor, college counselor, or community representative about workshops and activities offered at for your high school
  • Visit your local library for possible workshops
  • Take a look at our resource page for upcoming events

Schools are selected to be CALSOAP L.A. partners based on a variety of factors including location and financial aid completion rates. The schools that are currently part of our partnership will receive services through June 30, 2020.

Currently, we are not accepting any new schools to join our CALSOAP L.A. consortium. You can contact the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) for a list of additional CALSOAP programs in California.
