The CALSOAP L.A. Career & Technical Education Program (CTE) will give students the opportunity to explore different career pathways available at local community colleges. Our curriculum will engage students into exploring their skills & strengths. Our lessons on financial literacy, interview skills, and resume building will help students strengthen their soft skills. These lessons are also a great option for parents/families.

In this presentation students will identify ways in which to be financially responsible as a young adult, learn to manage a budget, prepare a personal spending diary, and discuss the components of personal budgeting.

CAREER PREPARATION SKILLS
This presentation will help students learn how to complete career badges through NexusEdge. Students can earn up to 7 badges on 7 different career preparation topics. Topics include (resume building, how to create a cover letter, interview preparation, dressing for success, learning how to network and internship etiquette).
